Bol beach Print E-mail

Not far from Bol lies the beauty queen of the Adriatic beaches - Zlatni Rat - a paradise for windsurfers and lovers of water sports. This elongated sandbank consisting of millions tiny grains of sand immerses into the blue open sea with its length of 634 metres. This pebble cape is a unique phenomenon - it stretches into the open sea in the shape of a tongue, with its tip changing the form and moving to one and another side, according to the direction of winds and waves.
Bol is famous for its magnificent beaches made of sand-like white pebbles, like fish's eye-white. Zlatni rât in Bol is considered to be the most beautiful beach of the Adriatic. It stretches out its white tongue almost half a kilometer towards the nearby island Hvar, and the top of it moves like the winds blow from one side to another.
